The great Mercury Bay welcomes all travellers to Whitianga Marina. Gateway to the Mercury Islands playground. Easy access to a beautiful marina that is literally right in town. There is an information centre, in the main street, for local attractions and activities. The marina is located within a short walk of a supermarket, banks, cafes/restaurants and hotels.
The marina has 191 berths ranging in size from 10 to 18 metres, with a travel lift and hard stand facilities available for public use. Diesel is available 24 hours/day with a credit card (with pin number) or Eftpos. Marina fuel cards are available by application. This is an unmanned self-service facility.
Booking is essential.

Whangamata Marina
Situated inside the Whangamata harbour, in a very sheltered and secure location, the marina provides unparalleled access to wonderful offshore gamefishing and recreational fishing and cruising grounds triangulated by Mayor Island, The Alderman Islands and Slipper Island to the North. Protected by a solid rock breakwater on three sides, the 209 berths range from 10.5m to 20m in length.
Berths are designed with full length fingers; two intermediate piles; generous fairways; power and water supply via individual power modules. There is a 24 hour fuel jetty supplying Gull diesel sewage pump-out facilities; evening security patrols; and plenty of free car parking for berth owners and visitors.
A friendly, professional management team operates out of the Marina Office, providing management, information, maintenance and security services to the berths and marina facilities. All enquiries are welcome by visiting the team at the Marina Office.

Whitianga is an established seaside town on the eastern seaboard of the Coromandel Peninsula. Whitianga's harbour has a deep (2.0m MLWS), sheltered all-weather entrance that is navigable by large craft, regardless of tide or weather. The development: The Waterways will have several distinct zones including unrestricted and restricted canals, a small retail zone, standard (non-canal front) residential zone and an airport zone, where owners with aircraft will be able to fly in and park their aircraft in their own hangar. Located in Whitianga Harbour on the Coromandel's eastern seaboard 1500m upstream of Whitianga Marina. There are 38 private berths. Private rentals by arrangement.
