We are on a journey towards a vision of Thames-Coromandel as a confident and vibrant business district and we are ready for a talented and connected Economic Development professional to lead our strategy delivery.
Working collaboratively across the organisation, the Economic Development Lead takes accountability for executing strategies that deliver sustainable economic development for our District.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and actively manage sustainable partnerships and relationships with local and central government agencies, local and national businesses and key community and iwi partners.
- Connect the dots across local, regional and national to identify new opportunities and partnership potential.
- Collaborate across the organisation to deliver innovative solutions that support business development.
This is a role for a well-connected and energetic economic development professional. We need someone who can provide value at the strategic level and is equally comfortable in pulling up their sleeves to get stuff done.
To be successful in this role, you will be:
- Strategic and creative in your thinking and tireless in your approach.
- Experienced as an economic development professional delivering strategy.
- Experienced in government and commercial sectors, with an understanding of how to deliver within a local government environment.
- Confident and capable in building sustainable relationships and partnerships at all levels.
- Well-connected with an ability to see the potential and connect the dots that will grow our business community and local economy.
- A strong communicator with a collaborative approach.
