27 December, 11.00am: Police have confirmed a person has died after a crash on State Highway 25, between Thames and Coromandel. Four others have been injured. The road, between Te Puru Creek Road and Valder Place, is expected to be closed for several hours as emergency services work to clear the scene. Please avoid the area if possible and expect delays.
