Our infrastructure strategy deals with our water supply, wastewater, stormwater and roading networks for the next 30 years. It sets out the significant issues that will need to be dealt with in that time and main options for how we plan to manage them. While Council’s 30 year Infrastructure Strategy signals no major water and wastewater plant requirements, there is investigation underway on the underground pipework condition in older settlements such as Thames. This could also add to cost pressures for projects that are not yet approved. Investigations are not yet complete for projects such as Thames Indoor Pool, Whitianga Harbour facilities, and the development of Coromandel Harbour. Read our 30-year Infrastructure Strategy here.
