Orange heavy rain warning issued for our District

MetService have updated the forecast for our District this morning.
An orange heavy rain warning has been issued the Coromandel Peninsula from 1am-5pm tomorrow, Friday 4 April.
Forecasts predict between 90-120mm of rain, with the heaviest accumulations expected in the ranges. Peak rainfall rates of 15-20mm per hour are anticipated. While there is a low chance of this being upgraded to a red warning, the heavy rain may cause streams and rivers to rise rapidly, surface flooding, slips and difficult driving conditions. Please plan ahead, take extra care on our roads and avoid low-lying areas.
