ProQuest has partnered with Ancestry.com to create Ancestry® Library Edition, one of the most important genealogical collections available today.

It has unparalleled coverage of the United States and the United Kingdom, including census, vital, church, court, and immigration records, as well as record collections from New Zealand, Europe, Australia and other areas of the world!

How to access

All good things must come to an end; as of 31 December 2021, Ancestry will be removing the temporary remote access option for public libraries that they have had in place since March 2020. We were extremely grateful to be able to offer this access to our patrons stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The good news is that we aren't losing access to Ancestry Library Edition completely. As always, you'll still be able to access Library Edition through our free APNK Library wifi and public computers when you visit any of our three library branches in Tairua, Mercury Bay and Thames.

You don't need to be a member of our District Libraries to access Ancesrty Library Edition; you just need to follow this link while your either logged into our APNK Library wifi or using one of our APNK Chrome Stations or Chrome Books.
