Survey: Libraries and community well-being

Taituarā — Local Government Professionals Aotearoa is conducting a survey to find out more about how libraries contribute to community well-being.

The role of the public library and librarians has changed considerably from being a book lending service to providing a range of services,  programmes, events, and collaborations with a range of stakeholders and partners.

More libraries are becoming vital community hubs providing access and support to community members, with innovation being the key to attracting new readers to the library.

Taituarā — Local Government Professionals Aotearoa has established a partnership with Public Libraries NZ (PLNZ) to improve how public libraries demonstrate the value that their contributions make to their communities.

By providing evidence, data, reports, a showcase of best practice case studies, and the delivery a set of communication campaigns for the sector, we can demonstrate how libraries make a difference.
