Can't find what you're looking for? We can borrow from other libraries on your behalf. If our libraries don't have the item you're looking for, we may be able to borrow it from another New Zealand library. We call this an inter-library loan, or an interloan for short. You can request an interloan by filling in a form at the library. Interloans are great for borrowing old or hard-to-find titles. We can interloan items from specialist libraries, or from libraries with bigger collections. Thames-Coromandel District Libraries is part of the National Reciprocal Group. Interloans cost $6.00 each (to help cover courier fees) if we can borrow your item from a library in the group. More charges may apply if your item is only available from libraries who are not part of this group. Our staff will contact you if there are any issues with your request. Items usually arrive within a week or two. Our normal rules for picking up reserved items apply to interloans. Most interloan items are checked out to you for a longer loan period than our regular items. The due date depends on the policies of the library we've borrowed the item from. If you'd like to keep your item a little longer, let us know well before it's due. We'll need to contact the library we've borrowed it from and confirm your renewal with them.
