Processing your food registration

Council will take the following steps with your application once it is received:

  • Vet the documentation to make sure it has been completed correctly.
  • Lodge the application details into Council's system
  • Complete a technical review of the application (by an Environmental Health Officer)
  • Request further information, if required
  • Invoice you for the registration fees
  • Once payment is received, update registration details to the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI)
  • Issue you with a Notification of Registration and Certificate of Registration

An Environmental Health Officer (EHO) will be in contact with you within the next 6 weeks to arrange a suitable time for them to come and complete your initial verification.
