Submitting a building consent application is fast, convenient and easy to use because all building consent applications at Thames-Coromandel District Council are lodged and processed online.

If this is your first time applying for a consent online, you will need to begin by registering for an account. Follow the prompts on-screen, consult our Online Building Consent Customer Guide, or get in touch with us if you require assistance. 

Using this system, you can apply for:

• PIM only (Project Information Memorandum) 
• Building consent (with or without PIM) 
• Amendment to a building consent 
• Code Compliance Certificate 
• Certificate of Acceptance 
• Exemption from the need for a building consent 
• National Multiple-Use Approval (Multiproof) building consent

We are still developing online solutions for the following applications, so in the meantime please print and complete a paper application.  You can either drop off at one of our Council offices or post to Thames-Coromandel District Council, Private Bag 1001, Thames, 3540:

• Certificate of Public Use (Form 15)
• Amendment to Compliance Schedule (Form 11)

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email confirming the successful submission.
