Working For Council

Maintenance contract works are carried out by Ventia on behalf of Council. Professional services are undertaken by Pinnacles Civil.

Council does not directly employ road workers or firms for road works. If you are interested in working on roadworks please contact our maintenance contractor, Ventia directly.

When Council undertakes new capital funded road works it must comply with the Councils Land Transport Procurement Plan [link to attached pdf document] and the national procurement regulations published by Waka Kotahi. Any new capital funded roading projects that are put out to tender will be published on the national Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS).

Details on how to tender will be published in the tender documents or in the Expression of Interest (EoI). If you wish to work for Council on roading projects please register with GETS as Council will not send individual notifications to interested parties.
