Cancelled or postponed events

To minimise the potential spread of the virus and protect our community event organisers around the District after careful consideration have decided to postpone or cancel events as a precaution.

Please let us know if you have a local service, activity or event postponed/cancelled you would like us to include on this page by emailing us - customer.services@tcdc.govt.nz.

  • Matarangi Fire Station's Friday social club night – will reassess next week
  • Whitianga Scallop Festival (12 September)
  • All the Waikato Road Safety events/workshops - Child restraint checks, Driver referesher training, Cycle skills.

  • Tech Week in Coromandel Town (Wedneasday 22 May) - new date Wednesady 29 July 
  • Pauanui Half Marathon (21 March) - new date TBC
  • Repco Beach Hop - Postponed until November 25-29
  • New Zealand Rugby, Netball New Zealand and NZ Football has postponed all club and community games.
  • St Francis School Irish Fling - (20 March) postponed to Term 4 - new date TBC
  • Equippers Thames - Sunday Funday Community Day Out postponed until October - date TBC.
  • Thames Music & Drama's 'Up the Duff' (3 April) at Tararu Cultural Centre postponed 
  • Waitakaruru Bingo Fundraiser (28 March) - new date TBC
