About you 

Are you an excellent communicator with strong communication skills, and ability to talk to people of diverse backgrounds to influence positive outcomes? 

We have an opportunity for a conscientious self-starter to join our Environmental Compliance & Monitoring Team, working within our communities to monitor and enforce conditions of Council granted resource consents, the District Plan and key legislation. This is a permanent, full time role based in our Thames or Whangamata Office.  

To be successful in this role you will:

-          Have enforcement experience, displaying sound decision making skills and confidence applying and interpreting legislation and policy to situations 

-          Have exceptional communication, customer service and conflict management skills with a calm, solution focused approach to issues 

-          Have strong time management skills and ability to prioritise to get the job done. 

-          Have a current, full drivers’ licence.
