Our Long Term Plan 2018-2028 next steps 23 April 2018 Consultation has now closed on our 2018-2028 Long Term Plan. Staff are busily collating submissions and undertaking initial analysis of the points raised for consideration by our Community Boards and Council. A total of 775 submissions were received – a huge amount of feedback from our communities that our elected members are looking forward to engaging with. “Thanks to everyone who made a submission,” says our Mayor Sandra Goudie. “The level of feedback has been outstanding and reflects the fact that people are really involved and interested in what’s going on.” The next steps are: Council hearing of submitters in the week 30 April - 4 May. Community Board deliberation meetings (on community facilities such as reserves, halls and cemeteries, and on local grants) in the week 7-11 May. Council deliberation meetings on all submissions received in the week 14-18 May. Council adopt the final 2018-2028 Long Term Plan at their meeting on 26 June.
