Skills Highway Roadshow to help local businesses and staff 18 April 2018 If you're a local business owner, manager or would just like to find out about high-quality literacy and numeracy programmes that are customised for local workplaces, come along to our Skills Highway Roadshow Breakfast. Hosted by our Mayor Sandra Goudie, along with Hauraki District Mayor, John P Tregidga, this is an initiative from the Mayors’ Task Force for Jobs in association with Valley Education and Training Enterprises Ltd who believe workplace literacy and numeracy skills are the cornerstone of our economy to help improve productivity, communications and build confident employees and safer workplaces. Avenues on improving employee literacy and numeracy skill levels can be improved will be discussed, along with what funding and opportunities are available. The Skills Highway Roadshow Breakfast will be held on Tuesday 24 April 2018 at the Thames War Memorial Civic Centre from 7.00am - 10.00am. A light breakfast is provided however numbers are limited.
