Thames Community Board grants available until 31 August 30 August 2018 The application deadline for Thames Community Board grants is 4pm on Friday 31 August. Organisations that provide a community service, activity or event that is not-for-profit are invited to apply. Community grants help local organisations pay for specific projects or maintenance of facilities that benefit our community. Our district's other community board areas had their grants available over July, but Thames Community Board was reviewing its grants at that time. As a result the $25,000 community grants fund, the $15,000 local events fund and the $20,000 local economic development fund have been combined into one $60,000 pool. The grant values available in each of the other Community Board areas were: Coromandel/Colville Board Community Grants - $35,000 Mercury Bay Community Board Grants - $40,000, made up of Community Grants - $20,000 and Events - $20,000. Tairua/Pauanui Community Board Grants - $37,000 Whangamata Community Board Grants - $30,000 The Thames Community Board will make its decision on the allocation of its grants fund at its meeting on 1 October. The venue for that meeting is Te Puru Community Hall, 4 West Crescent Te Puru, starting at 1pm. For the full criteria and application forms, check out www.tcdc.govt.nz/cbgrants2018.
