Powhiri officially welcomes new Chief Executive

Thames-Coromandel District Council's new Chief Executive was officially welcomed at a Powhiri in the Council Chambers this morning.

Representatives of Council jointly with representatives of tangata whenua (Pare Hauraki) welcomed David Hammond to his new role as Chief Executive of the Thames-Coromandel District Council.

Speakers led by Waati Ngamane provided a good-humoured introduction to the new Chief Executive and David Hammmond responded with a well-received speech in te reo Maori.
