Weather warning #1 - 6.30am

MetService has issued a severe weather warning for heavy rain and severe easterly gales expected to last through to 5:00pm tonight.


We've got a King high tide coming in at 8am so please take care on the roads and don't drive if you don't have to and be careful around waterways.

NO road closures, flooding or slips reported. We will be updating more regularly on our Facebook page which you can go to here [].

Forecast: Expect 60 to 90mm of rain. Peak rates of 20 to 30mm per hour, with thunderstorms possible.

High tide times:

Eastern Coromandel - Sunday morning ~ 8am and Sunday Evening ~8:45 pm

Firth of Thames - Sunday morning ~ 8:45 am and Sunday Evening ~9:20 pm
