Congratulations to our successful creative applicants 01 June 2018 We would like to congratulate the successful Creative Communities Scheme applications: This round of funding was for projects that will take place up until 30 April 2019. The Creative Coromandel - He Mana Toi Moehau Trust Board, made up of representatives from across the Coromandel, administers the Creative Communities Scheme funds on behalf of Creative New Zealand. The Board were appreciative of the effort that applicants had put into their applications and noted the following general comments for future applicants: Provide dates for events Provide the name of the tutor and a briefing on each one Remember the timing of the projects e.g. projects that start before the date of the funding round cannot be considered Advise if the project will still go ahead if a portion of the funding request is granted Cross-check any budget figures that are provided Consider the eligibility criteria as set out in the Applicants Guide. Funding is awarded to projects rather than the people undertaking the project. Applications need to meet one or more of the following criteria to be eligible for the funding: Broad community involvement - The project will create opportunities for local communities to engage with and participate in arts activities. Diversity - The project will support the diverse arts and cultural traditions of local communities, enriching and promoting their uniqueness and cultural diversity. Young people - The project will enable and encourage young people (under 18 years) to engage with and actively participate in the arts. Could your arts group or creative project use a helping hand? The next round of funding will open 31 August 2018 and close on 28 September 2018. The Board will assess the applications on 24 October 2018.
