Congratulations to our successful creative applicants

16 November 2018

We would like to congratulate the successful Creative Communities Scheme applications. This round of funding was for projects that will take place up until 30 September 2019.

The Creative Coromandel - He Mana Toi Moehau Trust Board, made up of representatives from across the Coromandel, administers the Creative Communities Scheme funds on behalf of Creative New Zealand.

The Board members were pleased with the calibre of applications which represented a wide range of art mediums, with an increase in Toi Maori (Maori art) applications. Twenty applications were received with a total of $61,022.08 requested, however the Board only had $12,162.50 of funding to distribute.

“We really appreciated those who came to speak to their applications and acknowledge the difficulty of this for many people because our district is so wide spread,” says Board Chair, Jan Wright. “We will be investigating video conferencing options for the next round to hopefully allow more opportunity for applicants to speak to their applications.”

The dates for next round are still being finalised and will be advertised. See for further information.
