Santa Claus is coming to town - parade information. 26 November 2018 It is almost that time again, Santa is visiting the district and doing his rounds of the Coromandel from next week. Parades will be held in all our main centres so children can get a look at him before he visits their houses on 25 December. Here is more information on a parade near you: Totally Thames Santa Parade - Saturday December 8, 1pm. Floats to gather at Grey Street from midday. Coromandel Town - Saturday 8 December, 2pm from Watt Street to Jacks Point. The main street will be closed for 15 minutes while the parade passes through. Turn up on the day at Watt Street by 1:30pm or contact Daniel by email or mobile on 02041166877. Whitianga - Saturday 8 December, 12.30pm.The parade starts at Lyon Park Rugby Grounds, travels along Albert Street towards Buffalo Beach, along The Esplanade and finishes at Taylor's Mistake car park area. Once the parade is finished there will also be a special party to celebrate the completion of Stage One of the Whitianga Town Centre upgrade with music, face painting and family fun activities.
