04 June 2019

If you have a dog, it's time to renew their registration for 2019/20.

To help make the process as easy as possible, reminder letters should arrive in your letter box over the next few days. You have until 31 July to renew before the late penalty fee applies from 1 August.

Our condolences to any owners who may receive a renewal letter if their fur-baby has recently passed away. Please advise us by filling out a Dog Maintenance Form.

If you are registering your dog for the first time on the Coromandel, get in touch with us so we can talk you through the details and provide you with information about our dog exercise areas, the restrictions on beaches at certain times of the year and other useful tips. For more information call us on 07 868 0200 or email customer.services@tcdc.govt.nz.

To renew your dog's registration online, go to the online payments portal on our website www.tcdc.govt.nz/renewdog and click on the "Renew my dog registration now" button. If you use our online pay system a receipt is produced on the spot and you don't need to bring your renewal form to us, as you have already made a digital declaration of dog ownership. Your dog's tag will be mailed to you.

To renew online, you will need to have your dog reference number as shown on your renewal letter. If any details on this letter are incorrect, please update the details using the Dog Maintenance Form before making a payment.

Or, you can pay at one of our offices: bring your completed and signed renewal form with you for over-the-counter payments. You can also post a cheque with your completed and signed renewal form to:

TCDC Dog Registration
Private Bag 1001
Thames 3540

Please note online payment rebates for fourth and subsequent working dogs are not available using the online payment facility. To obtain a rebate for fourth and subsequent dogs, a statutory declaration must be completed and attached to your renewal registration papers to be sent back or brought in over the counter at one of our offices.
