Have your say on sport and recreation in our district

10 June 2019

In partnership with Sport Waikato, our Council is preparing a sport and recreation plan for our district. We’re holding some drop-in meetings to give you a chance to find out more and to give us some feedback.

The Thames-Coromandel Sport and Recreation Plan aims to identify the trends in sport and recreation participation and assist our Council and Sport Waikato in the development of programmes and future development of sports parks and facilities in our district.

The drop-in sessions will also be a chance to find out the current situation of sport and recreation in our district. Learn more about Moving Waikato 2025, the region’s strategy for sport, recreation and physical activity, and the findings from the latest Sport NZ participation surveys for adults and youth.

You’ll also get a chance to see and discuss the findings of a survey Sport Waikato has just conducted of about 120 sports clubs and recreation providers in the Coromandel.
