There is a significantly large slip on Onemana Drive caused by the recent spate of bad weather.

This means the slip now needs to be retained and the stormwater controlled.

"We're extremely close to a solution on how to address the slip," says Bruce Hinson, our Infrastructure Manager.

An engineer, arborist and local civil contractor are carrying out investigative work under the guidance of a charted civil engineer who will form a solution to remediate the area and address stormwater issues.

Onemana Slip 2The first action point is to cut down some trees immediately around the slip, as they may potentially fall into the slip area. This work is expected to start next week so the area will then be cordoned off.

Once this is completed, remediation work will begin on the ground.

"We are doing our best to clear up the slip and deal with the remediation work as soon as possible," says Mr Hinson. "We ask for the community's patience during this time and we'll continue to provide regular updates on the work."
