Your collection days Most of the year round collections of rubbish and recycling are based on alternate red and yellow weeks - red weeks for household rubbish and food scraps; yellow weeks for mixed recycling, glass in your crate and food scraps again. From Christmas to early February areas with high visitor volumes over summer have peak summer collections to cater for the increased numbers.
